DC Power Source Enables Indoor/Outdoor LED Lighting

Astrodyne’s LED power solutions now include the 30-W PLN30 and the 60-W PLN60 PLN series. This series provides high efficiency up to 86%, class-C Harmonic levels for the lighting industry, and extremely reliable performance. The IP64 enclosure protects against dust and moisture, making them suitable for indoor or outdoor applications.

PLN Series devices are limited power sources approved to UL1310 class 2 safety approvals providing less than 100 VA or 5 A under any situation, thereby reducing the risk of hazardous exposure. The series accepts a universal ac input and features built-in constant-current operation with adjustable overcurrent and output voltage settings. Additional features include short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C. The PLN Series is priced at $25 in OEM quantities.
