Power-One has announced that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, has issued a permanent injunction against Artesyn Technologies, which, along with Astec America, is now part of the Emerson Electric Co.'s Network Power business unit. The injunction enforces the jury trial verdict of November, 2007, in which the jury found that Power-One's U.S. Patent No. 7,000,125 (the '125 patent) had been infringed by Artesyn Technologies' digital Point of Load PMBus compatible product.

The '125 patent applies to a digital power control system for programming, controlling, and monitoring an array of Point of Load regulators using a data bus for communication with and control of the Point of Load regulators.

Under the injunction, Artesyn Technologies, its successors in interest, or other parties acting in concert with Artesyn Technologies are permanently enjoined from infringing the '125 patent through the manufacture, use, offer of sale, sale or use within the United States or importation into the United States of (a) the DPL20C, (b) the DPL20C Demonstration Board, or (c) any products which are no more than colorably different from the accused products.
