TDK-Lambda has introduced low cost and mini-size LS25 (25W) and LS35 (35W) series of AC-DC single-output power supplies with outputs of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V and 48Vdc and 88 to 264Vac inputs.

TDK-Lambda has introduced its low cost and mini-size LS25 (25W) and LS35 (35W) series of AC-DC single-output power supplies. These power supplies provide the most popular output voltages including 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V and 48Vdc. They operate with a universal AC input of from 88 to 264Vac, (47-63Hz) and can withstand input surges of up to 300Vac.

The LS series are enclosed and carry the CE Mark in addition to being certified to UL/EN/IEC60950-1 safety agency standards. The units have a withstand voltage of up to 1.5kVAC input to ground, 3kVAC input to output, and 500VDC output to ground. The LS series also conform to the immunity standards of EN61000-4-X and the EMC/EMI standards of EN55011-B, EN55022-B and FCC-Class B (which is much more stringent than Class A).

In many applications, the AC input line-quality is poor and factory equipment can cause the input voltages to fluctuate. Such line transients and disturbances can drastically reduce the life of many power supplies that are only designed for use in an office environment. The LS series offer a new solution for these applications, including Automation and Test & Measurement, yet are budget priced.

All models meet the Power Factor and Harmonic Correction Standards of EN61000-3-2 and are RoHS compliant. Other features include a voltage adjustment (+/-10%) potentiometer, a Green LED "On" indicator, and screw terminal connections. All units carry a three year warranty.

The convection-cooled operating temperature range is from -25°C up to +70°C with deratings above 50°C. The LS25 and LS35 series range in size from 3.1" x 2.0" x 1.1" to 3.9" x 3.2" x 1.4" and are available now with prices starting from $15.50 each in 100 unit quantities.
