Powering up an EV, Michael Worry, Nuvation Engineering

Michael Worry is a Canadian engineer that moved to Silicon Valley in 1997 to join the technology boom. A serial entrepreneur, Michael is CEO of Nuvation Engineering. Nuvation provides accelerated Electronic Product Design and Manufacturing services. They design and manufacture complex products integrating hardware, FPGAs, and software for customers worldwide.

Worry is also a founder of the start-up company, OptaMotive, a Silicon Valley startup that built the E.Rex to compete for the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE, a $10 million competition to inspire a new generation of viable, super-efficient vehicles capable of achieving 100 MPGe (miles per gallon or its energy equivalent). With its electric vehicle, dubbed E.Rex, OptaMotive is striving to combine fun-to-drive performance (0-60 in less than 5 seconds) with energy efficiency of better than 200 MPGe.
