Tumbler Technologies+ TRUMPower has launched a new addition to its AC/DC switching power supply line-up with the TMC400 series which is approved to international medical standards. Specifically designed for medical applications, it is capable of delivering 400W of continuous output power at 7 CFM forced air or 300W at convection cooling.

The unit is a compact, open frame design measuring only 4" (L) by 7" (W) by 1.58" (H) and is built on a circuit board with a U-bracket. It has an active efficiency of 87% and features a power factor of 0.98.
The TMC400 series can withstand voltage of 4000VAC from input to output, 1500VAC from input to ground, and 500VAC from output to ground. The series includes 7 standard models of single 12V to 48V power supplies each with an earth leakage current typically measuring 100µA at 115 VAC, 60 Hz and 220µA at 264 VAC, 50 Hz. Output voltage is factory preset specifically to meet the user's request.

Operating at a 90 to 264 VAC universal input, the series has a standby output of 5Vdc/100mA. Other key features include overvoltage protection, overcurrent, and temperature protections. The TMC400 units operate at -10°C to +70°C ambient with derating required from 100% at +50°C linearly to 50% at +70°C. Its 350,000 hours-minimum MTBF at full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F proves to be highly reliable. An optional cover and fan assembly can be added during manufacturing.

The TMC400 series complies with RoHS requirements and EMC standards that include EN55011, EN55022, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-4, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-6, EN61000-4-8, and EN61000-4-11. It is approved to UL 60601-1, CSA C22.2 No. 601.1, EN 60601-1 medical standards

The TMC400 series are priced at $99/ea in OEM quantity. Units are available from stock to 8 weeks ARO.
