Two-Channel Input/Output Module Carries Ex [ia] Safety Approvals
WAGO Corporation's new, 2-channel carries Ex [ia] Safety Approvals, expanding the company's Ex-i portfolio. The Intrinsically Safe 750-586 Module provides a signal current of 4-20 mA, linking WAGO Ethernet Controllers with actuators in hazardous location Zones 0, 1 and 2. ATEX and IECEx certified, the 750-586 galvanically isolates field and system levels while providing short circuit-resistant outputs. These measures bolster safety in atmospheres, such as those in mining, where gas and dust accumulate or hazardous location applications such as oil/gas.
The 4-20 mA 750-586 joins WAGO's Intrinsically Safe 750-585 2-Channel with a 0-20 mA signal current. The 750-585 0-20 mA unit alsocarries short-circuit-resistant outputs and an Ex [ia] safety Approval.
WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM and Hazardous Locations: Both 2-Channel, Intrinsically Safe Modules reside within standard WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM nodes. WAGO separates Intrinsically and Non-Intrinsically Safe sections within one node, providing hazardous location applications with fieldbus-independence and economical sensor/actuator connections.
