CAS DataLoggers is now offering a new mobile energy measurement case for acquiring and processing energy measurement data. Developed by Delphin Technology, these measurement cases are able to acquire digital impulses from electricity, gas and water meters. The new mobile device will benefit users analyzing or recording energy data as well as service providers commissioned by clients to record energy measurements. Especially suited to fault data acquisition, vibration analysis and quality assurance, these new cases are now available from CAS DataLoggers.
These cases feature an integrated 3-phase power measuring unit for measuring the electrical power from motors, pumps, drives etc. Energy data from PLC or control systems can also be acquired via field bus interfaces such as PROFIBUS or ModBus. The energy measurement case is configured via LAN and can then function independently thanks to its integrated data memory capable of storing several million measurement values. The case can also be equipped with a UMTS modem to enable wireless operation for remote monitoring applications.
They also offer an option for using high-speed analog inputs enabling process analysis from raw energy measurement data. High-speed analog inputs also enable network analysis and the detection of faults or peak levels. Additionally, the case can be supplied with Rogowski coils so that power and current data can be acquired non-invasively. All available connections are wired onto the front section and have engraved lettering. Users can select the type of connections (laboratory connectors, screw terminals, etc.) as they require.
Online and offline analysis of the energy data is performed using Delphin's ProfiSignal Go software which portrays data as a y(t) diagram. The logic-analysis diagram is capable of displaying each measured impulse with faults being easy to identify. Delphin Technologies data loggers/data acquisition systems solve a variety of measurement and control problems in industrial and laboratory applications. They feature different analog and digital input and output modules that can be used with a wide range of signal types including: voltage; 4-20 mA current; thermocouple; RTD; and resistance. They also offer powerful alarm and programming capabilities to allow the instruments to process measurements and initiate actions on their own. Delphin systems can be used for local data acquisition and logging when connected to a PC; for remote unattended data collection connected the internet; or as a stand-alone device.
