Achieving a Fast, Precise, Robust Circuit Protection Design

Oct. 8, 2020
Operating surge-sensitive equipment is worry-free with the protection of transient blocking units and companion surge protectors.

Transient blocking units (TBUs) combine with companion surge-protector devices to form fast-acting solutions to transient surges in voltage and current that can threaten electronic circuits in sensitive equipment, communications networks, power supplies, and industrial machinery. TBU high-speed protectors' (HSPs) MOSFET semiconductor technology works within 1 µs of detecting a spike in current and coordinates companion shunt-style circuit-protection devices to provide layered protection to sensitive circuits without the electromagnetic interference of grounded shunt devices, and it automatically resets the unit once voltage returns to normal.
