PXI Multichannel Source

The 64-channel PXI GX1649 Arbitrary Waveform Generator offers 16-bit amplitude resolution and an output voltage range of ±15 V. The single-slot, 3U PXI module is organized into four groups of 16 channels. For DC operation, each group can be programmed and triggered independently. All groups can be updated simultaneously, and each channel within a group can be programmed to a unique voltage.

When the instrument is used as a waveform generator, its 256-k sample memory is allocated to each group of 16 channels with the user able to allocate the memory for one or all channels. With all 64 channels configured for the Arb mode, the maximum sample rate is 625 kS/s. Each group can be clocked independently via a programmable clock source, or all groups can be clocked by a common source. Within any group, channels can be configured for a combination of Arb and DC operation. $2,995. Geotest-Marvin Test Systems

Verification and Test OS

The VTOS Builder addition to VTOS Suite 2.0 establishes a user-configurable special-purpose Verification and Test OS (VTOS). VTOS addresses the embedded-system hardware prototype test and verification process, closing the gap between design creation and production test. The Builder offers an alternative to internally developed test programs; when the first prototype arrives, VTOS provides the test platform necessary to verify a new design and debug problems. With VTOS, a new prototype can be tested for design correctness and production readiness in less than one week and handed over to the software team for application development.

The annual floating license for VTOS Builder starts at $5,000. VTOS Builder requires a processor family package starting at $5,000. Kozio

Handheld Analyzer Enhancements

Enhanced E Series Site Master and Cell Master Handheld Analyzers now include easyTest Tools to create, deliver, and display cable and antenna analyzer work instructions.

Detailed work instructions, called easyTest files, for the respective instrument’s cable and antenna analyzer mode, can be created on a PC using easyTest Tools. The files can be written with a few simple tools. All setups, procedures, and images are stored in an ETT file for delivery via email. The E Series Site Master and Cell Master models have modified firmware to recognize the files, which are displayed on the analyzer screen. Once initiated, the setups in the ETT file are recalled automatically. Anritsu

Design for Yield Software

Faster than traditional Monte Carlo analysis for both regular three-sigma and advanced six-sigma analysis, NanoYield yield-prediction and optimization software for memory, logic, analog, and digital circuit design is part of the company’s transistor-level statistical modeling and design and variations-aware product portfolio.

NanoYield can be integrated into an existing design flow and predicts yield at early design stages, enabling engineers to evaluate and optimize IC designs for optimum yield and performance trade-offs. It includes innovative algorithms and parallel technologies to accelerate statistical simulation performance. The NanoYield design flow starts with circuit design and simulation. Engineers input nominal design and statistical models that represent process variations into NanoYield to calculate process, voltage, and temperature variations and run Monte Carlo statistical simulations. A report will highlight yield estimations, output distributions, and sensitivity and failure analysis. ProPlus Design Solutions

A full-featured front panel allows local control, an extensive analog interface provides remote capability, and a standard Ethernet digital interface simplifies system integration. The STR’s IGBT inverter is inherently fault tolerant and targets applications like semiconductor processing and vacuum deposition. Many operational features can be configured by users to suit particular requirements. Spellman High Voltage

Programmable Battery Charge/Discharge Tester

The 17200 programmable battery life-cycle testers feature CC/CV/CP charge/discharge modes and independent channels for battery-cell capacity and DC internal resistance testing. The 17200 is specifically designed for lithium-ion secondary batteries and capable of supporting various charge/discharge test modes such as CV, CC, and CP.

When the tester is coupled with the company’s BatteryPro software, customers gain access to flexible functions and programming that support rapid creation of test recipes for an individual channel or a group of channels. To ensure safety, the 17200 offers protection features such as cell polarity check; overvoltage, overcurrent, and over-capacity monitoring; and loop (contacts and current path) resistance monitoring.
