February 5, 2013. The New Data Capture Pod from Diagnosys gives you a fast and efficient tool for generating functional test programs boards and components—avoiding the need spend weeks or months acquiring an in-depth level of understanding of the underlying circuit and completing test-program development.
The Data Capture Pod quickly converts actual signals from an individual IC or at the edge connector of a PCB into functional test programs ready for use with the PinPoint range of test and fault finding systems.
The Data Capture Pod provides programmable threshold voltages, sampling rates, and trigger conditions along with dedicated analog channels for increased flexibility. The included USB 3.0 and 100Base-T interfaces allows the Data Capture Pod to be used with any PinPoint system or connected directly to a laptop for use in the workshop or in the field to acquire real-life data.
“The new Data Capture Pod allows us to address a wider scope of applications,” said Tim Webb, president Diagnosys U.S. Operations. “The versatility offered by the expandable system provides a path for users to automatically generate functional test programs for simple and complex components and boards.”
The Data Capture Pod starts with 96 single-ended digital channels with a capacity up to 480 channels thorugh the addition of expansion modules. Input rages from -2.0 V to +4.5 V with a sample rate of 200 MHz and a pattern depth of 1 Mb are standard.
The company will exhibit at IPC APEX EXPO February 19-21 in San Diego.
