EADS North America's Mulato Named Outstanding CEO
December 31, 2013. Jim Mulato, CEO of EADS North America Test and Services, a division of EADS North America, has been named Outstanding Technology CEO by the Orange County Technology Alliance. He was recognized for this honor at the 20th annual High-Tech Innovation Awards sponsored by the OC Tech Alliance, a local trade association fostering innovation in technology in Orange County, CA.
“It is an honor to be recognized along with Orange County technology pioneers William Wang, CEO of Vizio, and Anand Nallathambi, CEO of CoreLogic,” said Mulato. “We added fifty+ high-tech jobs in Orange County during the past year, and our participation in the OC Tech Alliance and its Forums (HR, CEO, and Marketing) was invaluable, as we expanded our test systems business in Irvine.
“This award is a reflection of our 220-plus employees who come to work every day with a passion to provide automatic test solutions that ensure optimal performance of mission-critical electronic systems. Our company is great because of our people, our willingness to listen and collaborate with our customers, and our entrepreneurial spirit,” he continued. “We have the quality processes of a large aerospace company, while maintaining customer intimacy and the flexibility of a small company.”
Now in its 20th year, the High-Tech Innovation Awards is a premier business event celebrating excellence and achievement among the region’s technology industry and honors local companies, individuals, and products that drive innovation in Orange County. This year’s winners were announced on Oct. 15, 2013 during a ceremony at the Hilton Costa Mesa that drew 300 luminaries from local high-tech companies, financial and government institutions, as well as academic leaders, educators, students and investors.
The awards categories this year spanned Outstanding Technology Company, Outstanding CEO in Technology, and Innovative Product in cloud, device, green, mobile, security, semiconductor, and software technology.
“We congratulate all of the winners and finalists for their innovation over the last year, and look forward to seeing the trend continue,” said Peter M. Craig, chairman, OC Tech Alliance. “EADS North America Test and Services is an important contributor to Orange County and the innovations created here for the country and the world.”
In partnership with Project Tomorrow and Emulex, OC Tech Alliance also honored educators and students for their innovative use of math, science and technology in the classroom and the community.
