Pickering Interfaces to highlight PXI and LXI at SEMICON West

Pickering Interfaces will showcase its catalog of PXI switching and simulation and Ethernet LXI switching solutions at SEMICON West July 12-14 in San Francisco, CA. These products include Pickering’s high-density LXI matrix modules, high-density PXI relay modules, PXI RF multiplexers, PXI battery simulators, and PXI and LXI chassis. A sampling of products that Pickering will display at SEMICON West is highlighted below:

  • High-density LXI single-pole matrix module (60-553)—these LXI matrix modules are capable of switching up to 150 VDC/100 VAC or 2 A (60 W max) and are used for signal routing in large ATE systems. Pickering recently announced that the Model 60-553-008 version was selected for opens and shorts testing of semiconductor packages by Amkor Technologies, a provider of contract semiconductor assembly and test services. This model supports up to 1,027 simultaneous relay closures, which was important for Amkor’s test strategy.
  • PXI precision resistor module (40-297)—this PXI precision resistor family provides a simple solution for applications requiring accurate simulation of resistive sensors. They are available in a variety of resistance ranges and resolution capabilities that meet the needs of most functional test systems. These resistors are suited to applications such as the testing of engine control units (ECU) where resistive sensors provide information on parameters such as temperature.
  • PXI RF multiplexer (40-760)—this range of RF multiplexers is available in the following configurations: dual, quad, and octal SP4T; single, dual, and quad SP8T; single and dual SP16T; and SP32T. All of the multiplexers have versions with automatic terminations to manage VSWR effects that could degrade the performance of a test system.
  • PXI high-density PXI relay module (40-100)—this high-density relay module is configured with 83 SPDT relays and is designed for applications requiring a higher density 2-A alternative to Pickering’s current 52 SPDT module (40-139). The module is suitable for applications requiring medium power switching with very high density. It features a 2-A current capacity and voltages to 200 VDC/140 VAC. Connections are made via a front panel mounted 500-pin SEARAY high-density connector.

Also highlighted in the booth will be Pickering’s new switching system management tools:

  • Signal-routing software—Pickering’s new signal routing software simplifies signal routing through switching systems and speeds up the development of switching system software. This software supports Pickering’s switching modules and the interconnection between these products.
  • eBIRST switching system test tools—new test tools can quickly test Pickering’s switching systems and identify the faulty relays. Once identified the tools then display a graphical representation of the switching-system PCB assembly, highlighting the relays that need to be replaced.

Pickering Interfaces stands behind all of its manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.
