Geneva, IL. Richardson RFPD Inc. has announced the availability of a new 30- to 88-MHz tunable bandpass filter and associated evaluation board from NewEdge Signal Solutions Inc.
The SAX248 is designed for tactical communications applications and operates from a single 3.3-V supply. It is capable of handling 2 W of power while featuring a low power consumption (DC power is less than 80 mW) that allows for a small footprint.
The associated evaluation board includes a filter and interface required to allow control from any PC.
Additional key features of the SAX248 include
- a P1dB spec of +33 dBm;
- insertion loss less than 4.5 dB;
- step size of 0.5 MHz;
- tuning control via SPI;
- tuning speed of 35 µs;
- IIP3 spec of +45 dBm;
- a bandpass bandwidth of 3.5% typical, 5% maximum; and
- a bandpass VSWR of 1.5:1 typical, 2.0:1 maximum.
Dimensions are 1.2 x 0.65 x 0.25 inches.
