System Provides In-Circuit Bed of Nails and Functional Test Solutions

Feb. 1, 2023
The Compact LR in-circuit bed of nails and functional test solution provides additional legacy replacement capabilities for customers looking to swap out test systems no longer supported by the original manufacturers.

Seica’s Compact LR in-circuit bed of nails and functional test solution provides additional legacy replacement capabilities for those who need to replace test systems that are no longer supported by the OEM. The Compact LR addresses the redeployment of Teradyne Spectrum 8851 and 8852 fixtures onto a modern platform. This serves the technology needs of new applications, while also allowing developers to continue to use legacy fixture designs.

All of the Compact Line uses ACL synthesized drive and sense instruments and VIVA management software. They can also be controlled by alternative software packages such as Labview, LabWindows/CVI, and TestStand by NI.

Seica’s VIVA software platform includes an optimized process to automatically generate and debug a complete test program, beginning with the board CAD data to enable immediate testing of the prototype board. Functional tests can be created on the fly using QuickTest software, with only data on the circuit to be tested, as opposed to the tester or programming language being involved.
