The CableEye tester now includes software compatible with bar-code scanners to document the unit under test's (UUT's) serial number, date code, lot code, operator name, test station, and other data from a bar-coded work-order sheet. Users can create custom reports directly from the CableEye package or export the data to an Access database, Excel spreadsheet, or Word document for statistical analysis. Each new tester includes free software. Prices start at $1295. Present customers with active warranties can obtain free Web downloads. Software upgrades cost $95 for those without an extended warranty.
