Extending functionality of the 6413A UMTS basestation test system, the company adds the ability to perform live receiver and transmitter testing including HSDPA. The extensions enable testing without any disruption to live traffic caused by taking the basestation out of service. A single-box portable unit, the system takes complete control of a basestation via the Iub interface and performs all critical transmitter, receiver, and functional tests without external control equipment or the need for extensive knowledge of basestation operation and control. The addition of live receiver and transmitter test capabilities compliments the system's existing Iub-controlled test mode, which supports repeatable test scenarios in controlled environments based on the ETSI standard 3GPP TS25.141. Receiver testing and transmitter test functions are available for immediate delivery. AEROFLEX INC., Plainview, NY. (800) 835-2352.
