OEMs designing RapidIO-based systems can now find complete interoperability testing services at RIOLAB Corp. The company has begun offering Device Interoperability Level 3 (DIL-3) testing, the final level of testing for RapidIO interoperability. DIL-3 includes testing between specific endpoints and may include a basic level of protocol violation testing. OEMs can be assured that any two devices that meet DIL-3 will interoperate in a system. RIOLAB is a state-of-the-art RapidIO testing facility providing the RapidIO industry with device interoperability and specification compliance testing. The facility is designed around graduated levels of testing that align with both the RapidIO specification and the needs of silicon vendors and OEMs. The tests build on the RapidIO Trade Association’s Device Interoperability and Certification Checklists, which were developed for members. Details on DIL-3 testing, including test level definitions, descriptions, procedures, setup, scripts, example scripts, and report templates are available at www.rio-lab.com. Vendors can contact RIOLAB at [email protected].
