Reporting the industry's best combination of speed and accuracy, the N5230A PNA-L network analyzers (options 240/245) promise to quickly characterize multi-port, balanced components, reducing testing costs while increasing production throughput. The four-port PNA-L specifies a trace noise as low as 0.005 dBRMS at 100 kHz and a dynamic range up to 120 dB at 2 GHz. Paired with the optional Ecal calibration module, full 2-, 3-, and 4-port calibrations are said to be performed up to 10 times faster than mechanical calibration. Additionally, the analyzers include a port-extension feature that automatically measures and corrects for fixtures, as well as correcting for a fixture's insertion loss. Available options include a configurable test set, a frequency-offset mode for mixer and amplifier measurements, and time domain analysis. Starting price is $70,000.
