Introduced as latest member of the Infiniium line of digital storage oscilloscopes, the 54852A claims to be the first four-channel, 2-GHz DSO with a sampling rate of 10 Gsamples/s on each channel. The scope, plus its companion 1130A InfiniiMax probing system, are certified by the USB Implementers Forum as USB 2.0 compliant test tools. Other DSO features include an acquisition memory depth up to 1 Mpoints per channel, MegaZoom technology that captures long serial data waveforms instantly, and advanced software analysis options. Additionally, the DSO employs a Windows interface that provides access to features and applications such as serial data analysis with clock recovery and jitter analysis. Base price of the scope is $25,995 and of the 1130A 1.5 GHz InfiniiMax differential probe is $3,195. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. (800) 829-4444, ext. 7918
