Reporting bleeding-edge signal fidelity, the TDS600B series 4-channel digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs), which includes the 8 GHz TDS6804B and 6 GHz TDS6604B, pair the company's Pinpoint triggering technology with a differential probe employing IBM's 0.18 µm silicon germanium topology. Pinpoint technology employs a dual A-/B- triggering system that provides over 1,400 triggering combinations. Users can isolate, capture, and analyze points of interest, and the system allows both A- and B- triggers to be mixed and qualified into almost any sequential logic combination. Additionally, the technology exhibits a jitter of less than 1.5 ps and captures glitches less than 200 ps wide. The TDS6804B teams with the P7380SMS, described as an active differential acquisition system and the market's first 8-GHz differential probe. Both DSOs feature a 20 Gsample/s sampling rate and up to 32 Mrecords concurrently on all channels. Prices for the TDS6804B and TDS6604B start at $74,990 and $64,990, respectively.
