The installation and regular maintenance of cell-phone basestations require tests for troubleshooting or verifying that the equipment meets federal regulations and wireless interoperability standards. Portable test instruments conveniently carry out these tests. On-site measurements often require the engineer to move around a building, work outside, or even go underground.
