Real-time in-circuit emulation (ICE) to maximum speeds of up to 33 MHz and emulation down to 2.0V is reported with the MPLAB-ICE 2000 Universal In-Circuit Emulator for firm's PICmicro 8-bit RISC microcontroller family. The device offers full speed, low-voltage emulation and visibility into instruction and data paths during execution. It also offers software configurable voltage and clock, parallel port interface, interchangeable processor modules and device adapters, and unlimited software breakpoints. Also included is sophisticated trace analysis, complex breakpoints, the ability to monitor internal registers, and a 32k x 128-bit trace. Additional components include an emulator pad, a processor module, a device adapter, optional transition sockets, and complete documentation.
