The TAS 4500 FLEX5 is an RF channel emulator that's optimized to meet stringent performance requirements for wide bandwidth applications and for testing third-generation wireless communications products. The 26-MHz bandwidth system offers advanced capabilities, including Dynamic Environment Emulation (DEE), which allows time-varying emulation of real-world conditions in the lab. DEE provides complete control over test channel conditions by enabling users to synthesize complex, time-varying propagation environments or to play back large files imported from actual field measurements. These files can contain an extensive collection of drive test scenarios. The unit's integrated, modular architecture covers a wide range of wireless transceivers operating in the 25 MHz to 3 GHz range. Built-in local oscillators simplify test setup and operation.
