Engineers designing Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet equipment represent the main markets for the NETminer series data link monitors and bit error rate (BER) testers. The new test tools support monitoring of live data links for link status, utilization and error conditions, as well as supporting BER testing of cables, transceivers, connectors and other components using ANSI standard bit patterns to ensure system reliability. The NETminer series is offered in four standard configurations: NM-30 for supporting BER testing on 1.0625- and 2.125-Gb/s Fibre Channel and 1.25-Gb/s Gigabit Ethernet systems; NM-40 for providing link monitoring and BER testing on Gigabit Ethernet networks; NM-50 for performing link monitoring and BER testing for Fibre Channel systems; and NM-70 for supporting both data link monitoring and BER testing on Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet. The NM-30, NM-40 and NM-50 are priced at $4,990 and the NM-70 costs $7,490. ANCOT, Menlo Park, CA. (650) 322-5322.
