The need to measure insertion loss and return loss of line matching transformers brought about by the proliferation of PCs connected to the Internet is said to be met with the 3260B Precision Magnetics Analyzer. The unit is designed to perform these tasks accurately, simply and quickly.
The user can select values for terminating resistance or impedance and can configure a damped network or series blocking capacitor, if required. The analyzer also offers complete component characterization using analysis mode. It can graph any of the measured parameters, such as inductance or impedance, including secondary term, against frequency, ac drive level, or dc bias current. Up to 125A of dc bias current can applied.
