The RF2351 is a broadband linear amplifier that's specifically designed for digital communications systems. Its 1710- to 1910-MHz frequency range suits it for use in CDMA or TDMA systems in the PCS band. It operates on a 3- to 6-V power supply, and supplies band selection for use with split-band filters as well as bias optimization through adjustment of its power-down voltage. At 3.5 V, it delivers +16-dBm OP1dB, a 21-dB gain, and a 2.5-dB noise figure. Along with digital PCS systems, the RF2351 can be used in GSM, wireless local-loop, and wideband CDMA systems. It's manufactured through a gallium-arsenide process technology, GaAs HBT. Available in an MLF-16 package, the RF2351 costs $1.10 each in 10,000-unit quantities. Fully assembled evaluation boards also are available.
