Amplifier Board Features Programmable Gain

Nov. 1, 1998

This amplifier board is designed to accept up to 16 differential inputs with programmable ac or dc input coupling and provides 16 single-ended outputs. Each channel of PGA-16 board can be independently configured for one of 11 gain settings of 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1000. Compatible with any PC-based data acquisition board, the board can also be used directly to drive the high-impedance inputs typically found on most data acquisition boards. Inputs can range from dc to 200 kHz, and a slew rate of 9V/µs handles high-bandwidth signals. PGA-16 card is programmable through the ISA bus and is available with a comprehensive selection of software: Windows 3.1/95/NT; DOS menu-driven and driver software for controlling key functions; language support for C, Visual C++, Visual Basic and Pascal; and LabVIEW driver that includes a Virtual Instrument library.
