Board Backstops Y2K Compliance Efforts

Aug. 1, 1999

Available in PC/104 or ISA bus formats, the firm’s Y2K board provides a secondary system clock that cannot be accessed by other applications and that is software-independent. With the complexity of today’s systems and the number of third-party elements within any given system, developers cannot guarantee that one or more of those elemens does not access and change the system clock. The Y2K board eliminates this possibility by including a hardware switch that prevents rogue software from changing the clock. Each board comes with manual and diskette with software drivers and source-code examples.
