Using the company's expanded line of DIP-to-SO plug adapters, an emulator plug or DIP device is easily plugged into a SMT prototype board. Final-size prototypes can be used for development and testing. Adapters come in various sizes to fit popular SO footprints. The adapters solder to the SMT land pattern on boards and provide a header for the DIP board to plug into. Pin counts from 8 to 44 are available in device widths of from 0.250" to 0.630".
