Electrocomponents, plc Embedded Development Platform (EDP) promises rapid prototype development of microcontroller-driven designs and, being manufacturer independent, is thought to be the first of its kind. The EDP embraces a three-element concept including a re-usable baseboard, a combination with up to four CPU modules, and up to four application modules. It allows users to evaluate different microcontroller technologies and applications for prototype development independent of manufacturer.
