Feb. 1, 2002

For modular applications requiring a floppy-disk drive and a CD-ROM but where slots and chassis space are limited, the company has introduced a drive board that combines both drives on a 6U x 160-mm deep Eurocard format. The combo occupies a single 4HP slot and is connected via flat cables through rear I/O. It can be mounted into the card guide of an unused slot. Power is delivered by a direct connection to the board via standard plugs. ELMA ELECTRONIC INC., Fremont, CA. (510) 656-3400.
