The TLA700 series SiGe-based logic analyzers now have additional modules and a unique connector-less probing system. Six new modules provide an 8 GHz timing acquisition rate and a range of state acquisition rates from 120 MHz to 800 MHz with data rates up to 1.25 Gb/s. In terms of channel density, the TLA7Axx modules support 34-, 68-, 102-, and 136-channel configurations and up to 680 channels on a single timebase using up to five merged modules. And memory depth is up to 256 Msamples.Enhancing the system further are three new probes. The P6810 is a general-purpose probe for applications employing square pins, leadsets, grabber clips, or other adapters. The P6860 and P6880 probes, said to be revolutionary, eliminate complex signal-degrading connectors on the target board and induce just 0.7 pF of capacitance. The probes connect directly to a special land pattern on the board and provide both differential and single-ended measurements. Available now, the modules are priced starting at $8,000 each and the P6810 and P6860 probes are $4,000 and $2,000, respectively. The P6880 differential probe will be available in the third quarter, priced at $4,000. TEKTRONIX INC., Beaverton, OR. (800) 426-220, code 1257.
