Motion-Control Interface Connects Multiple Devices

Sept. 1, 2000

Claimed to be ideal for connecting multiple devices across vendors, the Model 2300 smart PLC and motion-control interface provides a programmable touch-screen, human-machine interface (HMI), two serial ports (RS-232/422/485), a programming port, and a PS/2 keyboard port. The terminal is NEMA 4/12 and CE rated when panel mounted. The device requires minimal panel and cabinet space, and is self cooling. Operator entries are performed via a standard touchscreen and pop-up dialogue boxes facilitate alpha- and numeric-data entry. The company's WinBuild 2000 software is used to configure the system. Users can generate complete programs including graphics, control code, tag tables, recipes, and alarms in a Windows point-and-click environment.
