Targeted at the industrial telecommunication, homeland security, transportation, data communication, MIL/COTS and information appliance markets, the PCM-SC520 is a PC/104 compatible single board computer based on the low-power AMD SC520 CPU. This processor combines a 32-bit, low-voltage, 133-MHz AM5x86 CPU with a complete set of integrated, PC/AT-compatible peripherals. The board itself contains four serial ports and a 10/100 Ethernet controller, making it well suited for thin-client and other network-enabled applications. The board supports 32-, 64-, 128-, or 256-MB of SDRAM and either a CompactFlash card or an M-Systems DiskOnChip Flash memory for solid-state disk storage of up to 1 GB. Other peripheral function support includes: a floppy disk controller, IDE hard disk interface, keyboard controller, line printer (LPT) interface, and mouse port. Measuring 3.6" x 3.8", the PCM-SC520 operates over an extended temperature range of -40° to +85°C. It requires only +5V and draws 900 mA (typical) with 128 MB of SDRAM memory installed. Price is $399. WINSYSTEMS INC., Application Engineering Group, Arlington, TX. (817) 274-7553.
