Sampling rates of 100 MS/s on one channel or 50 MS/s on two channels with a 14-bit resolution make the CompuScope 14100 high-dynamic-range card a strong candidate for use in making scope measurements in DSL, wireless, telecomm, ultrasound, imaging and radar systems. Other noteworthy specs include a 70 dB dynamic range (SFDR), a 50-MHz analog bandwidth, and enough on-board acquisition memory to store up to one billion samples. The single-slot, PCI bus card also boasts of a 63-dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), a 100-MB/s card-to-PC data transfer rate, and an on-board crystal-controlled timing circuit for ensuring timebase accuracy and long-term thermal stability.
In addition, the CompuScope can be used in a multi-card system to create up to 16 simultaneously sampling channels operating at a 50-MS/s pace or 8 channels working at a 100-MS/s rate. The scope card is compatible with GageScope and Linux software and is available with drivers for MS-DOS and Windows 95/98/NT/2000, as well as with a software development kit for C/C++, MATLAB and LabVIEW. CompuScope 14100 prices range from $6,995 with 1M of acquisition memory to $34,995 with 1G of memory, while GageScope software and the development kit each cost $495.
