RJ-45 Connectors Include Magnetics

May 1, 2000

With integrated magnetics for 10/100BaseTX network interface cards, PulseJack tab-down, through-hole-mounted, single-port jacks reduce board space and improve electrical performance by integrating in the connectors the necessary magnetics, resistor and capacitor termination circuits, LED indicators, and RJ-45 receptacle. The small package allows shorter traces between RJ-45 connector and LAN transceiver, which improves EMI and electrical performance. The connector modules employ the firm's proprietary interlock base construction that minimizes the stresses of human handling during assembly and encapsulation, resulting in more uniform positioning of coils, leads and interconnecting wires for higher reliability. The connectors are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3. Price starts at $1.25 each/100,000.
