The ePCI-100 single-board computer (SBC) meets the new PICMG 1.2 Embedded PCI-X specification, extending PCI/PCI-X capabilities to the embedded and applied computing environments. Based on the Intel 810E chip set, the half-size SBC runs a Pentium III processor at 866 MHz. It has a PCI bus with 32-bit support. It also supports up to 512 Mbytes of small-outline dual-inline memory module (SO-DIMM) memory, PCI Ultra DMA/66 IDE, and CompactFlash. The ePCI-100 comes with an integrated 2D/3D 64-bit video controller with DVI output. It includes Intel 82559 ER 10/100BaseTX ports, a USB port, serial/parallel ports, and a floppy interface. A PC/104-Plus expansion header provides access to the PCI bus for standalone operation. With an 866-MHz Pentium III processor and a 133-MHz front-side bus, the ePCI-100 costs $759. The SBC costs $645 equipped with a Celeron 566-MHz processor. Lead time is four weeks.
