Clocking in as one of the fastest single-board computers (SBC) available, the SBC-F9000V2G exploits the power of Intel's Xeon processor with operating speeds from 1.8 GHz to 2.8 Ghz and either the E7500 or E7501 chipset with hyper-threading technology. Bus speed is 400 MHz or 533 MHz, depending on the chipset. Via two 184-pin DDR memory slots, the board can hold up to 4 GB of RAM. It also employs an 82546EB dual-port Gigabit Ethernet controller and a PCI-X 1.0a compliant bus, operating at 133 MHz. Video support comes from an integrated ATI M6 VGA controller and 8 MB of VGA memory. The 338 x 122-mm board operates at temperatures from 0°C to 60°C. Other features include a watchdog timer, an IDE interface with two enhanced IDEs, an FDD interface, and an array of USB, serial, parallel, mouse, and keyboard ports. Single-unit pricing starts at $700. ARISTA CORP., Fremont, CA. (510) 226-1800.
