SBC Touts Advanced Multimedia Capabilities

May 1, 2001

Powered by a Pentium III 800-MHz processor and packing up to 1 GB of SDRAM, the SBC-Multi single-board computer (SBC) can play back stored MPEG streams from an internal hard drive or externally through its hardware MPEG decoder. Two advanced hardware MPEG encoder circuits allow the capture and compression of dual audio and video streams. The SBC interfaces directly to a standard CRT or any flat-panel display using an on-board C&T 69030 LCD controller. Other multimedia features include a 16-bit, PCI-based Sound Blaster Pro-compatible audio controller with an on-board 10W-per-channel amplifier with a 4 ohm output. Measuring 17.2" x 10.5", the SBC requires 5V and 12V power input and operates in temperatures from 0°C to 35°C.
