Tailored for harsh environments, the VP 417/031-RC single-slot VME64 single-board computer (SBC) supports a 1.5-GHz Core 2 Duo dual-core processor, IEEE 1101.2 conduction-cooling, and dual PMC/XMC sites. Also employing an Intel E7520 server class chipset, the board handles up to 4 GB of soldered DDR2 ECC SDRAM operating at speeds up to 6.4 GB/s. With two PMC/XMC sites suitable for a range of ANSI/VITA-20 modules, the board also includes extensive I/O functionality and can support VITA 31.1. With conduction cooling and a conformal coating, it operates at altitudes of -1,000 to +50,000 feet and meets various VITA 47 classes and associated MIL-STD-810F test methods including operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (VITA 47 class CC4). Additionally, the SBC can handle shock levels up to 40g (11ms, half-sine) and random vibration to 0.1 g2/Hz (10 Hz to 1 kHz) with 6 dB/octave from 1 kHz to 2 kHz (VITA 47 class V3). Operating-system support includes Linux, Windows Server 2003/XP/XPE/2000, Solaris, LynxOS, QNX, and VxWorks. CONCURRENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Woburn, MA. (781) 933-5900.
