The VME interface board has the unique ability to perform three distinct functions, any two of which can be performed simultaneously. The functions include: receiving differential LVDS or RS-422 data and clock streams and converting it to an AMI output at T1, E1, T2 or E2 data rates; receiving eight data bits and one clock or differential ECL inputs and providing nine bits of quasi-parallel output in LVDS, RS-422, ECL or PECL levels; and a test-pattern generator controlled by a front-panel switch capable of generating R3, R7 and R15 patterns for AMI or parallel output. Depending on quantity, the adapters cost from $1,540 to $3,305 each.
