Claiming to provide a larger quantity of I/O pins and power lines than other solutions on the market, the VME64X Prototype Board's specifications allow for a greater number of I/O lines, ground lines, new 3.3V lines, and two isolated floating power lines. Typically, product engineers had to modify standard VME prototype boards before they could take advantage of the capabilities afforded by the VME64X specifications. The new board requires no conversion and is claimed to be the first board of its kind in the industry designed to meet the expanded array of application possibilities. Features include a continuous high-current, 5 Vdc grid on one side of the board and a matching ground grid on the other side. Pricing starts at $235.
