May 27, 2014
ADLINK Technology’s aTCA-3710 40-Gbit AdvancedTCA (ATCA) switch blade offers 14 10-Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) SFP+ uplink ports and supports 640-Gbit/s bandwidth for use in 14-slot 40-Gbit ATCA shelves.

ADLINK Technology’s aTCA-3710 40-Gbit AdvancedTCA (ATCA) switch blade offers 14 10-Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) SFP+ uplink ports and supports 640-Gbit/s bandwidth for use in 14-slot 40-Gbit ATCA shelves. The switch blade features a Broadcom BCM56846 10/40-GbE fabric interface switch and BCM56334 24-port GbE base interface switch, as well as a Freescale QorIQ P2041 quad-core local management processor. The hot-swappable aTCA-3710 complies with PICMG3.0 R3.0 and PICMG 3.1 R2.0 standards. It’s positioned as a high-performance server switch, and along with CPU/NPU blades and ADLINK Software for Networks (ADSN), can form a 40-Gbit ARIP for next-generation applications. ASDN middleware facilitates configuration, management, and monitoring of switch status. Next-gen 4G/LTE telecom applications include network monitoring and security, access-point controllers, video streaming, and deep package inspection.
