Designed for use in the transmitter line-up in wireless-infrastructure installations, the SMDI STM-1116, STM-2116 and SRM-3116 SiGe active transmit-mixers operate over frequency bands from 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz. All three are packaged in industry-standard, 16-pin exposed-pad plastic TSSOPs. The STM-1116 operates from 800 MHz to 1.0 GHz with 13 dB of gain, an output of 22 dBm, and a noise figure of 9 dB. The STM-2116 covers 1.8 GHz to 2.1 GHz, delivers 17 dB of conversion gain, an output of 24 dBm and a noise figure of 9.5 dB. The STM-3116 is suitable for UMTS and fixed-wireless applications from 2.1 GHz to 2.5 GHz, provides 17 dB of gain, an output of 24.5 dBm and a noise figure of 9 dB. The three chips exhibit leakage lower than -20 dBm, operate with a drive level of 0 dBm, and operate from a single 5V supply. Production quantities will be available in September, priced at $3.95 each/50,000. SIRENZA MICRODEVICES, Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 616-5400.
