The WM9713L, a dual codec for mobile communications applications, includes a voice codec to manage phone conversations in addition to a touch-panel codec. The device can control a four- or five-wire touch-screen panel. It provides on-chip screen drivers and supports high-fidelity stereo, voice, and supervisory or ring tones. Pen-down detection features and pressure measurement capabilities are also included. Power consumption is as low as 7 mW on reduced supply voltages. Pricing for the 48-pin QFP is $3.35 each in lots of 1000.
