Residing in an optimized TO38 package, the company’s latest blue laser diode lays claim to being the smallest in its class, enabling the integration of tiny projectors into mobile devices such as cell phones and digital cameras. The component specifies a wavelength of 450 nm, an output power of 50 mW, and an operating voltage of 5.5V. Measuring 3.2 mm in height, it exhibits an efficiency of 0.9 W/A and reliable blue-light visibility. Also under development are red and green lasers.
