Designed for use as input stages and drivers in distribution amplifiers and optical nodes, the MC-7831/7832/7833 GaAs, CATV hybrid push-pull amplifiers promise high gain, low distortion, and low power consumption. The amplifiers deliver output gains of 18 dB, 22 dB and 25 dB, respectively, with a gain stability of 0.7 dB over a temperature range from -30°C to 100°C. Power consumption is specified as 240 mA maximum and gain flatness is 0.7 dB maximum over a frequency range from 50 to 870 MHz. The amps also boast of high reliability, with their mean time between failure rated at 9 x 109 hours at 100_C with a heatsink in place. Prices range from $33 to $34 each/1,000.
