A sub-1 GHz RF performance line family from TI is highlighted by the CC1125 RF transceiver. Touted as the industry’s first single-chip solution for wireless social alarms and ultra narrowband applications, the CC1125 transceiver targets ETSI EN 300 220 category 1 (ETSI Cat.1) compliance for the European 869 MHz band, and can be used in sub-1 GHz applications worldwide that require exceptional RF range and robustness, such as long-range wireless meter reading. All members of the RF performance line family, the CC1125, CC1120 and CC1121 transceivers and the CC1175 transmitter, meet the market’s most stringent RF requirements while providing the ability to filter out other RF sources. The sub-1 GHz RF performance line family is available today in ROHS-compliant, 5 mm x 5 mm QFN-32 packaging. The CC1125DK development kit is also available for $299. The kit supports the 869.2-869.25 MHz frequency band and ETSI Cat 1 compliance.
