Debuting as the first flip-chip, SP4T GSM antenna switch, the PE4261 UltraCMOS switch integrates a control logic decoder and driver into a highly compact package. Employing UltraCMOS technology eliminates the capacitors typically found on pHEMT switches with positive control logic. The device complements the PE4263 RF switch, which is said to sport some very unique features. These include two-pin CMOS logic control inputs, a TX insertion loss of 0.55 dB at 900 MHz and 0.65 dB at 1.9 GHz, an isolation of 45 dB at 900 MHz and 40 dB at 1.9 GHz, and low harmonics. Other features include 1.5 kV of HBM ESD tolerance on all ports, an integrated CMOS decoder/driver, and an RX SAW over-voltage protection circuit. Additionally, The device provides linear operation from 100 MHz to 3 GHz at 2.6V. Price for the PE4261 is $0.52 each/10,000.
