A HDMI 1.4 transmitter, the TDA19989 enables users to transfer HD multimedia content from their mobile phones directly to a television via the TV’s remote control. The device features ultra-low power consumption, a small form factor, and support for full HD (1080i/p). Essentially, it supports the recently-introduced HDMI 1.4 Type D micro-connector. Other embedded features include Consumer Electronic Control (CEC), which eliminates the need for any additional device to handle CEC and enables CEC-connected devices to be controlled by only one remote control.
